Birthday Return Gifts: Sweet Packs for Kids' Parties

Every parent planning a birthday party faces the same question: what to send home with the children. More families are moving away from small plastic toys and towards a little pack of traditional sweets and snacks that the whole family can enjoy.
What children actually like
Children prefer soft, mild sweets over heavy, very sweet ones. Ice cream barfi is almost always a hit. Kova is soft and milky. Bellam gavvalu are crunchy and fun to eat. Chitti kaja, the bite-sized kaja, is the right size for small hands.
On the savoury side, mild snacks like vamu komulu or atukula mixture work better than very spicy ones.
Putting a pack together
A good return pack has one soft sweet, one crunchy sweet, and one small savoury snack. Keep it small: around 100 to 150 g in total is plenty for a child. Children's parties also include guests with different food habits, so a pack that is purely vegetarian and egg-free is the safest choice.
A word on allergies
Some sweets contain nuts or dairy. If you know a child at the party has an allergy, ask the parent first, and pick packs without nuts for them. We are happy to tell you exactly what is in any of our sweets.
How many to order
Order one pack per child invited plus four or five extra for siblings who tag along. For a party of 25 children, about 3 to 4 kg of sweets and snacks in total, split into small packs, is comfortable.
For larger orders, our bulk orders page has kilo rates, and we can pack the return gifts for you.
